About Me

Morgan Lee Clasper

Author | Copywriter | Armchair Philosopher

The short of it? I’m an independent fantasy author and a freelance copywriter with free time and a keyboard.

My entire life revolves around reading books, writing books, and helping other people sell their books.

I’m the author of the young adult fantasy series The Frostwing Quadrilogy and the Chronicles of Alcabaza. I’ve been writing on and off from childhood (I recall my first “books” included a rip-off of Charlie Small and a series of magical spy novels about a man named Jim Stupid.) Now I write short and punchy fantasy novels and coming-of-age stories about dragons, magic, and unique yet unforgiving worlds (I’d be more cruel to my characters, but I just don’t have the heart.)

As a copywriter, I’ve had the pleasure of working with New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling authors to create beautiful book blurbs and eye-catching sales copy (and you can hire me here!) I’ve spent over 6 years working on thousands of blurbs with everyone from the smallest authors to non-profits and publishing houses.

Other fun facts about me? I’ve moved over sixteen times across three different countries (i.e. so many I’ve lost track), I once spent five years growing up on a farm, and I’m a total recluse. I have a fascination with lucid dreaming and I know my way around a machete. When not spending hours meticulously plotting every detail of a book, you can find me studying philosophy (especially Stoicism), existential psychology (I can’t diagnose you), and Orthodox Christian theology.
